So basically I've come across a deal where I can get either the v1 or the passport 9500i for the same price. Both are used. Which one one you get? I've heard the v1 falses a ton, but I've also herd the 9500i still has some problems. Which one would you get????

V1, particularly since upgradeable by Valentine for a small fee (as long as legitimate). Belscort just isn't as accommodating, and especially not for second owners.

9500I and V1 are both excellent choices. You need to ask your self a simple question, do you want a quiet RD with a tone of cool features, or a noisy sensitive one?

9500I doesn’t have problems, just peoples personal preference. In ether case they can/should be sent in for an update. :wink:

I have a 9500I and am getting another one with a Blue display soon. :twisted:

This is a really tough choice because both will be a huge upgrade from my POS cobra that I've had for the past 3 years. I have not gotten any tickets using my cobra, but its getting out dated. This is a really tough choice lol. In NJ they use mostly x, and K bands. I've heard the v1 is great on x, but that means alot of falses I'm guessing. Ughh I dont know what to get!

I'm from Jerzey bro.Get the escort 9500i.With X-band on on the V1 that thing won't ever shut up..X-band is tooooo widely used in NJ for everything which is why NJSP still use it..To keep drivers thinking that ,"Ahhh it's just another friggin false."

If you’re going from a cobra with no tickets get the 9500I. The V1 is a bit more sensitive but you will benefit greatly from the quiet of the 9500I in the NY,NJ,CT area. If you were in the middle of no where the V1 would definitely have the edge.
