Simple Effective Radar Detector

I found the newer silver 940 at circuitcity for $125 +tax, so $133. I think I am going to go this route.
Also, how would I make my own smartplug?

yeah, any of the new vector series, 940,955,965 and 995 are smart cord compatible. the 995 comes with it. don't remember if the 965 does or not off hand. the 940 and 955 don't.

The 940 in black is the older model. The new one has silver. It's debatable which one is "better" but the new one works with the smartplug. The old 940 iirc uses a different style connector? Someone else with such a 940 can chime in better on this one.

Simple effective not expensive radar is Not to Speed

I know that, but is just a little hard to comply with that when you drive a Porsche. So I am going with option 2, a radar detector.
(and I bought it used, cheap so don't ask why I am pinching pennies)

If you drive fast and expensive car, I would get V1 (radar) and LPP/Laser interceptor for jammer Very simple.
