Assistance with new system please

My Lexus LX470 was broken into and my radar detector stolen.

I am looking for a comprehensive system now for laser jamming and radar detector. Also, I need this to be a concealed system. Can everyone chime in with their best quality recommendations please?? Quality is of most importance for me.

I beilieve that the Escort SRX or the Escort SR7 w/ZR3 shifters, which are basically the same system, are the only integrated radar+jammer systems. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Actually Bel has similar units too, with and without blockers. The Bel units are about $100 cheaper.

Beltronics RX75 ProPlus.To me the Bel units have a better look also.The RX75 display is much more pleasing than the Escort line.

If you can wait a few months Bel and Escort will be coming out with some new products.

The Bel STI-r should be on sale after March. This will be a concealed radar and laser detector

I'm also expecting some word on the Escort model, may inlude GPS as the 9500 model and will have an Escort laser jammer

Thanks for that info Roy.I knew they would be having to replace the ZR3 series with something with the new laser guns out.My next question is i wonder if they stuck with leds or switched to diodes and I wonder why they didn't add a laser defense to the STI-R.

I agree the Bel's look nicer, but I don't think they have threat display?

Well my guess is that Escort didn't want to give up the technology on the Shifter and Bel didn't want to give up the technology on the STi

Even though they are under the same owners, there is competitiveness between the two companies.

I don't expect and diode systems because of the FDA eye safety issue

How is the upcoming Bel STI-R different than the previous model it is replacing (and what is the model the Bel STI-R is replacing?). Also, is it as impressive as the Escort's performance?

When I called Bel, the STI-R will not be sold in the USA, only Australia and a couple other places, but not the US.

Also, is it true that concealed systems that I am interested in are not as effective in terms of "radar detecting" as a windshield mounted radar detector?

You are wasting your time calling and asking them anything in regards to new products. For now the Remote STi is not available in the US. As Roy indicated there is a good chance of it coming after March. We will have to stay tuned, but I am sure it will be super expensive. I would wait, since the zr3 technology is old.
