Does anyone know anything about the bel SEi I think it is a old radar but I was thinking of buying one I have the exspress 935 was wondering if this would be better on Ka. One other thing is the bel 985 a good detector

Ditto, there's only a handful of RD's that are even worth looking at. This list of "adequate" RD's has been posted dozens of times. Do a search and find it. In my honest opinion, only the top four are worth anything at all. The V1 is only $400, even if you make minimum wage you can still buy a V1 by saving a portion of each paycheck. Any of the "top four" are worth the extra money. If you STILL can't buy one, then don't speed. If you still want to speed then please get a bumper sticker that says "Rabbit" so we can identify you easier.

Don't consider these older models. Their Ka performance is outclassed by the current radar detectors which have been recommended to you.

And, at least for me, 95% of my real threat radar hits are Ka. If your Ka detection sucks, you are not protected. There are parts of the country where this is not true, but I would say that Ka detection is the most important feature of any RD.
