No problem, there is an abudance of information on here regaurding it, but I along with other will help as much as we can. Get used to the basic functions, before you mess around with too much.

i think i have read enough on these forums to know that no detector is going to save you from a direct Laser hit. You need a jammer. However when mounted correctly they both give you a fighting chance to detect the splatter. Perhaps the V1 is better. One day when i am rich as you i will be able to afford both and make my own determination, until then i will take the opinion from those able to offer evidence and not just bash the other guy. Thanks for your input anyway.
by the way i do give credibility to your opinion on the V1 as you own the other 2 as well. As i said one day i will find out for myself.
While I might be out in left field, would you consider pooling your detector collection, sell it, and step up to the Big Boy?Originally Posted by slappy
Just how often do you see laser? In my area, it's not a daily threat by any means.
I might just do that. See if my friend will lend me his V1 for a while. I want to play with the X50 for a while first though. I do know from owners of V1s that once you get used to the directional arrows you can't live without them.
In Jersey on route 80 Easr once in a while LEOs sit in the median right under the overpass, state trooper is out of his car with the high leather boots and the whole get up holding a radar gun like his pistol aiming righht down the highway. It scared the heck out of me, luckily i was in the left lane running along side a tractor trailer. I guess i wasn't peaking out long enough for him to get a fix.
I think many will agree that the 940 is probably the "best value" @ $125. It really does quite well. I can't say that the X50 performs that much different when comparted to the 940. Keep in mind that 99% of my encounters are K and Ka.
I think we can look at the recent GOL testing for hard evidence comparing the X50 against the 940.
yes i saw the GOL testing and they were both even in performance except the x50 outperformed around curves.
Again, also features are important to consider as well.
