Outside Independence Hall when the Constitutional Convention of 1787 ended, Mrs. Powel of Philadelphia asked Benjamin Franklin, "Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?" With no hesitation whatsoever, Franklin responded, "A republic, if you can keep it."

    Actual frequencies:

    ALL X-Band guns: 10.500-10.550
    ALL K-Band guns: 24.050-24-250

    ALL MPH Ka guns: 33.700-33.900
    ALL Stalker Ka guns: 34.600-33.800
    ALL Kustom/Decatur Ka guns: 35.400-35.600

To compensate fot the fact that Tech Mode isn't all that accurate, I would give it another 30 MHz either way. So for frequencies displayed in Tech mode:

    ALL X-Band guns: 10.470-10.580
    ALL K-Band guns: 24.020-24.280

    ALL MPH Ka guns: 33.670-33.930
    ALL Stalker Ka guns: 34.570-34.830
    ALL Kustom/Decatur Ka guns: 35.370-35.630

The point being, ANY and ALL frequencies can be a real police radar.

Tech Mode is more of a novalty, a fun feature more particularly usefull to see what part of Ka your getting... perhaps its a 33.8 Bee III, or 34.7 Stalker, 35.5 etc.

You can not judge an alert to be a false by the freq number.

I use the tech mode with generally good results. Every so often, a Cobra slips close to what I would consider a "legitimate" Ka radar.

But, I have came across a LEO running a 34.4 Stalker, so slow down for anything that ramps.

But I generally ignore any quick hits that are in the 33.5 range, which is where most of the Cobra falses are that I get. I have yet to see a 33.8 gun here, though I think they have them west of here in Tampa.

Just learn to use it, and get accustomed to what is in your area. Tech mode can end up being one of those features you can't live without, especially here in Ka land.

Oh, they have 33.8 all around you, true I never got a 33.8 hit in orlando. Mostly 34.7. But 33.8 sure is all around you otherwise.
