Default Does a Rd have to be perfectly straight

Where I have to mount my rd on my windshield it makes the rd look slightly left because curve of windshield.I was wondering if this is a big problem and if there where any suggestion on how to fix this. If it matters I have a 9500i.

It does effect it (maybe move it closer to the middle) but I think that being level with the road is slightly if not greatly, more important.

you can mount one suction cup higher to level it out a bit more, just don't get to crazy with it as it will make your rd unlevel, but a small rise to one side i have seen no bad side effects

Horizontal misalignment has less effect than vertical misalignment.

use a bubble measuring thing to get it perfectly parallel with ground..maybe a lil bit above or below 90 degrees tho with a 9500i because of the way the horn is flipped inside..9500i guys?

Keep it level, (until told to do otherwise by the manufacturer.)

You have to have at least two levels if not more. One to make sure your car is perfectly level first. Laser levels work pretty good for this. A second or third level for the detector.
The vertical and horizontal axis is also something to consider as well to insure that it is perfectly horizontal and vertical on your window so another level in combination of the other two or three isn't a bad idea.
I also had a machinist make some modification to the mounting bracket so that vertical mounting was taken care of as well, so I could dial it in to 1/10th of a degree.

If you believe in all the above B.S. feel free to do whatever yanks your crank........I just eyball mine in especially since I use it in three different vehicles on a window mount....good enough. I seriously doubt that it would make that much of a difference but hey, feel free to prove me wrong.

I'm glad you threw your own BS flag, because I was in the windup with mine!
