original valentine v1 vs. Whistler Pro-78 Radar/Laser Detect

ok so im a neb ... never owned one befor, but have been reading up a lot.

i have come to the conclusion that i am definatly not geting a cobra ...

i would like to get a new v1 ... but cant aford to


the BIG question is, whitch one is better?


so i have been looking on ebay .. and have found an original v1 for a reasonable price(used)

and i have found a Whistler Pro-78 for a good price ...

is the v1 out of date? what can and cant it do ?
witch is the better buy?

oo and the serial # for the v1 is 2108150443
i read some one asking for it in a nother post ... idk if it well help u with the model

to upgrade to latest version it will cost u almost 200 bucks. i say buy pro 78.

If you're not worried about POP, which I'm not as I turned mine off, I'd go for the V1. The Ka is still pretty good, and X and K are good to. You have front and rear laser and band ID. Just buy it and send it in for a tune up. Find out what the revision number of the V1 is.
