    Default Testing Laser

Just wondering what you guys do to test laser on your RDs. Im talking about remotes or other cheap devices. What kind work for you and what buttons do you press. I know golf range finders work, but they cost way too much to buy to test laser.

Please list what kind of RD, remote or other device(including model #), and buttons or instructions.

    Thanks.

You can try one of your remote controls at home. Sometimes they can make a laser detector alert.

FREE?! That's my way of testing radar and GnuCash says that $500 at least of my gas budget in the last 6 months have went towards that!

My dishnetwork TV remote sets off my 8500s laser alert but only within like 3 feet of the front of my car so you can't really use a TV remote to determine the maximum distance your RD can detect laser. The laser testers you can buy here have alot more range from what I've seen so far but I'm not sure how far the lasers they transmit can be detected.
As for the $20 and under part, your best bet would be a TV remote that you already have, otherwise your pretty much fuc**ed.

Any specific STB the remote belongs to? I've tried almost all my remotes but cant get them to set it off and I can't find the DN remote anywhere. This may give me a reason to bother finding it.

With the jammer tester, you could test your RD with different laser pulses like utralyte, stalker, PL3, laser atlanta stealth mode and other laser brands which is a faction of a cost of buying all those laser guns. Yes you may test it with a cheaper laser tester but it does not give you an idea if your RD will detect certain laser guns out there in the market.

LOL, that’s why you use the corporate card to fill up.
