    TSi+WRX - thanks for writing that. I couldn't agree more with what you said. It's just seeing all these posts from people saying that laser detection is TOTALLY worthless can be a little disheartening especially when I have seen it happen with my own eyes, yet I have no explanation for it, and then someone drums up a post saying "it's impossible" and the discussion ends there.

    Yes, jammers are clearly the solution. But even those of us who are jammer-less do occasionally get saved by our detectors.

    Yes, you can get a save without a jammer...I've done it.

    The catch is that I drive a black car and I've ripped off or painted over everything reflective on the car. It's like a black hole.

    So unless you want to drive a black hole, get a jammer.

    What about using a bra on the front of a car?? No Dave, not that kind!! They are black leather / vinyl and if you do not over polish them they have a dull black finish. I thought about getting one for my Ford Contour along with a liscense plate protective cover that will diffuse part of the beam.

    I have had saves because the officer targeted me at 1500 feet, and had time to slow.

    Two saves actually.
