    Default Obsessed?

Does anyone else here get told that they are obsessed with radar detectors and laser jammers? I hope it's just not me...

I get a ton of crap from my family. They also like to blame my radar detector for their problems. For instance, I was driving home with my mom while she was on a conference call. She lost her call somehow and then looked at my V1 and had the nerve to say, "you need to take that down, it's interfering with my cell phone". I asked her to explain how it would interfere and she didn't have an explanation so I kept it up.

Anyone else have these kinds of problems?

Yea my mom always says "why don't you just stop trying to beat the system and just follow the law" My response is always "Beating the system is a lot more fun, plus I like to drive fast".

My uncle is a LEO for the Dayton P.D. He thinks laser jammers are a rip off. I tried telling him about them but he kept arguing that they are a waste of money, same with detectors in his opinion. I can not wait until the day I get one. I am going to speed right by his doughnut mobile and watch the look on his face when it jams his gun. Or, I might just leave him to his thought, the less they know the better...

Yeah the wife every night is like "are you looking at radar detectors again? what could you possibly be looking at every day with that stuff?" I tried to explain that it's part of the driving experience / American dream / open road, all that stuff to no avail...

My woman does not understand the math behind spending $2000 to save myself from a $400 ticket. Is she clueless or what?

Yeah mine REFUSES to have an RD in her car. Sometimes we take hers somewhere and I put the RD in there and she about flips. I don't get it - I hate not having the RD even going 5 miles...

I even have my old Whistler listed below and I'm like "why don't you just have it in there, you never know and it's just sitting in the garage?" Still refuses...

I keep trying to get her on the addiction but...

All you need to do is get her to have a real save...Then you might have a chance
