I never paid alot of attention to those test before. Just curious why they test 1 - X50, 1 - 9500, but 3 - V1.

Because of availability. Many attendees and GOL members own V1's so they are readily available. GOL like to own the best hence why we test to begin with.

    Do you dislike false alerts?
Do you have red light cameras?

The v1 is a great detector but i think the update process is bogus and every year they usually have to get tuned.

Yeah your cobra is crap, you will be blown away by the 9500 or v1

Highway or city driving? (i would say both)
Do you dislike false alerts? (i can get freaked out a little if a false alarm occurs)
Do you have red light cameras? (i don't think so)

Based on this info, I'd say the 9500ix would be the best choice for you.

Cam91, did you read my sticky for the 9500I? The ix TrueLock works the same way with the addition of Auto TrueLock.

Alright kinda difficult question. The v1 will detect laser very very well but it does not mean anything other than if you are speeding and it goes off you are getting a speeding ticket soon. See radar detectors can detect laser but that doesn't matter because it doesn't actually block the laser. And laser when it goes off means that he is already targeting your vehicle.

In the same way radar detectors work, you can still get a ticket even though you have a radar detector because as long as he doesn't use that radar on anybody then your detector won't go off but he could use it on you and then it would go off.

For laser you need a laser jammer. And if your not intrested in that then the v1 is a breakthrough at detecting laser.
