    Default Cobra Ka emissions

Does anyone know the range that the Cobras emit Ka band? Do they have to be pretty close or do they have some distance? Is the frequency the same as LEO? (34.7,35.5)

I've picked up Cobras going the other way on 4-lane highways. Usually they're relatively close, but like any "radar" encounter, alot of it depends on terrain, and whether you're in a city, country etc..

I believe that most cobra false near 33.6, which is in the lower end of the Ka spectrum.

    X2 well said.
Also keep in mind that even though cobras are usualy Ka in the 33. something range it can also be other Ka's and even K and X band. As mentioned, range will vary. The randomness of the crapras are what makes everyone hate them

I seem to get them either where Jerry says, like 33.6 - 33.7 or also 34.2 -34.3. I also get pop alerts like crazy when enabled.

    ^ That's me, too.

Typically from closer ranges, but I've seen some WEIRD stuff, too, especially with respect to POP-falsing.
