If so, I'm screwed. I have a white car with chrome on the front. I do believe that a black car will absorb more light. Laser is light.

x2, reflective paint would probably help laser, not hinder it.
Something that closely resembles a stealth bomber (matt black paint) will be better than a high gloss white car. The less light/laser reflected back or absorbed the better.
Just for a FYI, the stealth bomber and others like it have a special RAM (radar absorbent material) paint. Basically it has very fine metal balls mixed in to the paint. From what I could find out, the metal absorbs the microwave radiation and less is reflected back to the source. I guess if I would paint my car with this stuff it would make it a passive radar blocker. It works so good that they had to develop special glass for the cockpits because the pilots helmets/ cabin were giving off a stronger radar signal than the plane was.

Hell yeah we do, except that I don't think we can convince any company to sell it to us. If we could that would be really awesome. Imagine driving by a PO and he has his trusty Ka gun. He than IO you, except he gets no number. What the hell he thinks, I see him and yet no speed reading. So he pulls you over, thinking you have some kinds of illegal radar jamming device. After a extensive search of the vehicle and nothing illegal found he has to let you go, dumbfounded.

RAM is great, but it's only about 20% of the F-117's "stealth", and I think even less of the B-2's "stealth".
Most of it comes from shape.
Fascinating fact about radar: Any shape that consists ENTIRELY of flat surfaces will reflect the same amount of radar no matter what size it is. This was discovered mathematically and then proven experimentally. It makes absolutely no intuitive sense, but somehow it works. Radar is pretty weird sometimes.
Another interesting fact: If you have the right equations available and you can do the right sort of math, you can create one of these flat-faced shapes, and minimize its radar signature, entirely on paper without the use of a computer. Calculating the radar signature of a rounded shape, however, requires a computer. This is why the F-117 has no rounded surfaces, but the newer B-2 has rounded surfaces.

FWIW,
we use laser scanners at work to make 3D models of buildings and etc, and it always has problems capturing anything white, while it will do any other color fine.
This is more entertaining then female wrasslin.
