Rx65 V.S Xtr-695

Hey all iam in the market for an rd and my locals use 35.5 and laster only. I was think which on of these is best at detectiong 35.5 wheter is staright on or off axiss. I live in the suburs and do alot of suburnan driving and few highway. But I want to know which one does better with 35.5 ka. Thanks

I say the rx-65 out of those two would be your best bet.

I would give the RX65 the edge for mostly highway driving, yet I like how quiet my Pro78 is when driving around town due to its unique filtering method. Either RD will serve you quite well for mostly suburban driving against 35.5 Ka.

If your willing to spend a little more the GX65 has been great for me at detecting 35.5!

I have heard the new gx65. Does anyone know what is the differnece between the rx65 and gx65 I mean beside the features that the gx65 provides. I mean how is the range with ka, has any one test these two units out yet.

From what we could figure out , the gx-65 has a new horn style based on the FCC numbers. People have been reporting that at least on k-band it's a monster. But without some real world testing its hard to judge. I would say that the gx-65 would do better in all bands compared to the rx-65. Maybe we can get out hands on a gx-65 for the testing that is up and coming in Michigan. If anyone has one they are willing to lend for the testing, PM me or alpine.
