Arrow Easiest with best cost X benefit radar detector?

    Hi,

I was wondering if you guys could give me a hand picking a radar detector... It must detect:

    • All radar types, mobile, lasers, radio, etc
    • Easy to use, cuz the guy who is going to actually use it is a farmer, and doesnt know much of technology hehe

Which is the best place to get one of those? radarbusters.com or radartest.com? or others?

    Thanks in advance.

The easist RD to use on the market is the Escort 9500ix. It's plug and go. Once it learns all the false alerts in a few weeks, if it goes off, it's a cop. Pretty simple. I'm not sure what you mean by radio, but it detects all police radar bands and laser.

how many meters with advantage does it displays the detection of radars? (like radar at 200 meters ahead)

It is not possible to give a measurement like that because every radar encounter is different. What is clear is that the 9500ix is one of the most sensitive windshield-mounted radar detectors available and by far the easiest-to-use. As djams said, just plug in and in 2 weeks it learns every false on your route. At that time, when it beeps slow down!

These detectors can all detect up to 9 miles when the curvature of our planet obstructs the signal. But the real world is a lot trickier than that. You can get 2-3 mile detection ranges when the antenna is pointed at you, but when a cop intelligently sets up a hard to detect speed trap, count your lucky starts to get 2 or 3 seconds to brake -- other detectors would give you ZERO.

There's going to be a bit of a learning curve with any radar detector. You can't expect them to handle situational awareness for you.
