Those two have the same basic feature set. The difference would be that the 9500ix automatically stores false alerts, while false alerts on the GX65 have to be manually stored. By the way, there are 7 continents.

I love this forum, 'cause we get to debate virutally everything that is not related to detectors!!

    I'll add my 2 cents:

In the US/Canada were taught in school there are seven continents: N. America, S. America, Africa, Europe, Asia, Australia, Antarctica

In Europe, they're taught that N. and S. America are one land mass called the "American" continent, and therefore 6 continents.

Many scientists now argue that since Europe and Asia are actually one land mass, there really are only 5 continents--American, Eurasian, African, Australian, Antarctica.

And, you can argue that Australia is actually an island country and shouldn't get the privledge of calling itself a continent. (what about Greenland?) Thus you can make a point there are 4 continents.

Plus, who really cares about Antarctica anyway, and while we're at it, Africa really isn't all that important either. No one really likes the Europeans, and the Asians have stolen our jobs. We've already discounted Australia, and anything south of the US/Mexico border is just a third world wasteland anyway. Canada is way too sparsely populated and you can't live in most of the country anyway, leaving one Continent, the USA!!!!

    (self declared thread hijack)

The human skull is composed of several fused together "continental" plates.

Do both have the Ku frequency I think that would be a must if this was to be used all over the world.
