V1 Laser Detection vs ix Laser Detection

Through my research, I am seeing mixed messages about whether laser detection even works.

On one hand I am hearing it does nothing but notify you you have a ticket, than on the other hand i am hearing the V1 is strong enough, that it will give you enough warning to save you.

Since the ix has not been tested do we know how that unit will do?

Has anyone actually have a save by running with one of these units without shifters?

there is no comparison...the v1 owns...before i had my LI i was saved 1x by the v1 by alerting to laser scatter about 1/8 of a mile before i ever saw the guy..he was then like 1200ft away around a curve

The only dashmount RD that has a reliable chance of detecting laser scatter is the V1. Sure the others will detect laser too and sometimes lead to a save, they just don't do it as well. For true laser protection, however, only a jammer works.

v1 is very sensitive to laser, might get a lucky laser scatter save.

I don't know if Escort has made any improvements in laser detection between the 8500 x50 and the 9500.

Yep. This happened to me last year here........

It wasn't actually a save as I wasn't speeding at the time but it could have been one if circumstances were different. I would not rely even on a V1 for laser protection though. Only a jammer can cover you there.
