    Default SpeedLaser Model S

I was reading the Veil Guy Blog about X Band radar still being in use (WHICH IT IS) and clicked on a link to MPH Industries. I was curious what some of the prices are for radar equipment so I clicked on the SALES & PROMOTIONS link on their website and saw the SpeedLaser Model S.

What really struck me about it was the claim that it has "Stealth Mode [which] Defeats Jammers and Detectors".

So are all of our radar detectors that also detect laser soon to be WORTHLESS?

I think this pretty much sums up what they are saying about the difficulties of detecting stealth mode. You shouldn't rely on a radar/laser detector to save you from laser but it can definitely help you if own a V1 because it owns laser. Get a laser jammer like the Laser Interceptor and you don't have to worry about laser at all.

Just as an FYI, the 6.1 version of the X50 does detect stealth mode. At least mine did. If I were to guess, anything newer from Escort should as well. I'm not too sure what RDs or versions on Bel's side do.

You will have a problem, though, if you have a Zr3, but not with the Zr4. Some of the early, early Blinders didn't detect it, but Blinder fixed that.

Granted, the actual number of LEOs who would use stealth mode is unknown. I think from the factory, it's turned off. And even then, when turned on, it takes longer to lock a speed, so I don't know why a LEO would even bother using it since he could pwn people a lot easier with just the normal mode of the LA.

Laser Atlanta stealth mode fooled RDs and laser jammers for a short while when it was introduced. Not anymore. Almost all RDs detect it now(not that important in my opinion), but more importantly, all jammers detect it now. As a matter of fact, Laser Atlanta stealth mode is extremely easy to jam, now that jammers know what to look for.

"the fact your are a sheriff is not germane to the situation"
"the god damn Germans got nothing to do with it"

"when I get home I am going to punch your mama in the mouth"

I have 3 different DVD versions of S&B and watch it at least once a month. after I watch I go work on my car in the garage. seeing it on the road in the movie gets me motivated to get it finished.
