    Default "black dot" factory tint

My car has the tint made up of a bunch of approx. 1/8" dots in front of the RV mirror.

Does anyone have any idea how much this interferes with a RD?

    Thanks

My Mustang has the same dots and they have no noticeable effect on radar detection.

They just interfere with the suction cups.

x2, and I would assume they may decrease laser a bit, but to that effect, if you are using your RD for laser defense purposes... its worthless in that regard anyways.

The ones in the Vette are raised so the suction cups can't create a seal.

Same on the Mustang. I used to put Carmex on the suction cups to make them stick to the dots, but that got annoying, so I just started placing my RDs just below the dots.
