Default Gonna replace RX-65 with another V1

Well after using both the RX-65 and the V1 for about two years now I've decided to go with another V1. The reasons are:
1)the V1 stays on the windshield! I'm tired of walking out to the car and finding the RX-65 lying on the floor. Nothing is more frustrating than to spend over three hundred dollars on a RD and have it fall of the windshield. The $99 whistler I used to have never fell off the windshield!
2)the rear antenna. I like to know where the leo is,
3)I don't see a big difference in sesitivity ("false alarms"),

What did you feel about your Rx65 performance? I have a chance to buy a Rx65 for $100, firmware unknown just yet.

You definitely want to know the manufacturing date on that RX65 before you buy it. The manufacturing date consists of four digits which follow the serial number. "4908" for example would indicate that the RX65 was manufactured in week 49 of 2008.

The RX65 performs just as well as an 8500X50 and performs nearly as well as a 9500i or 9500ix or STi or GX65. In short, the RX65 is one top half dozen or so best performing windshield mount radar detectors which you can buy.

My Belscort RDs never fall off the windshield. I'm wondering why you are having so much trouble. My V1 doesn't fall off either.

Well I'm not an expert on performance, just your average consumer, but to me the performance was fine. No tickets, and trust me I drive very fast..., but smart!

Yeah my V1 doesn't fall off either. I think maybe the temperature changes and moving the unit between vehicles (I have 6). I really don't know why, but I've read others have had the same problem.

My GX is heavier than my RX and neither ever fall off.

That being said, you have to keep your windshield and suction cups clean when you mount them. Also, extreme temp differences may make the air under the suction cups expand. Ill bet most of the times you found it laying on the dash, it was hot out or in the sun.

I tried to keep everything as clean as possible. I think temp was the biggest problem. That being said, the V1 never fell off under the same situations.
