There is always that day when every LE agency recognizes it's sping. They start using the I/O, motorcycles (my arch nemesis), and are out hunting. All winter they just cruise around using C/O, but for some reason the warm weather brings out the I/O usage.
I had two encounters yesteday, first one the cruiser left his front antenna on (C/O) but it was off angle so when I came over the hill it seemed like I/O. Then when I got past the cruiser still picking up his front antenna he hit the car coming around the corner with a blast of KA (still with in range of his front antenna, so that would have been a save). Next one I was moving right along on one of my back road short cuts, just before I got to there favorite hiding place I thought I'll bet they are there today. Low and behold three seconds later I got a short blip of K. I hauled it right down, and about a 1/2 miles later came around the corner onto a long straight section, sure enough he was hiding off in the bushes, and BAM! full on blast of K. I felt like pointing to my V1 as I drove by, and being like soooo.... you think your sneaky.I'm pretty sure he knew it though since I dont have a car that looks like it should be going exactly the PSL. I would have visually spotted him first anyway, but that extra layer of protection was nice. In 15 I/O encounters the V1 has picked up EVERY K band encounter (9) and only ONE KA encounter (NYSP on a busy day where it might as well have been C/O)...
That was on top of seeing two seperate motorcycle cops (not running anything), but it means they are out. I HATE them, so much harder to spot running I/O than a cruiser, they just disappear in any sort of shadow....
