Altho I get scatter alot... I still wouldn't speed without a laser jammer.

To be quite honest, despite 1000+ in countermeasures my eyes have accounted 100% of the saves in my 15+ laser encounters. I just list some saves where had my eyes failed me my countermeasures would have saved me... I just run jammers for that extra sense of confidence, it allows for a more relaxing ride.

That's great but we are talking about scatter with devices... nothing to do with your eyes.

im not sure but i have seen videos on youtube where a guy has a blinder m20 and a valentine one First the Valentine one Alerts picking up the Scatter then the blinder alerts when he gets hit directly but of course it jamms the gun no speed reading

Wrong. Please know what you are talking about before you spread wrong information on the internet.

Just messing, lighten up. And there is nothing wrong with thinking there is no scatter because 9 times out of 10 you most likely won’t be saved from it anyway, if that.

Laser is is emitted in a narrow, low-divergence beam with very little scatter till it hits an object than its reflected and "scattered".

Lets re-phrase it this way: There is 'scatter' its just worthless to use an RD as a countermeasure against laser.


saying "Oh the V1 has done it 2/3/4 etc times" (without the disclaimer saying its useless) are the ones giving the WORSE impression to new users. It might very well give them the impression that as long as they are using a rabbit, they can expect the V1 to pick up laser scatter. Its better to tell them to NOT count on it, rather then to say it is there... if anything putting them on the side more towards caution is the best thing to do.

There is no problem with saying the V1 picks up scatter on rare occasions (it does), but saying it has picked it up without a disclaimer about not counting on it is laying the grounds for new users getting in trouble!


Bottom line here: Is there laser scatter? Yes! Is that a moot point because using scatter as any sort of protection against lidar is asking for trouble? Yes!

X2, this is the key, no one should ever think there going to be saved from laser. Its better to think you wont so when you do you react aggressively.
