    Default Radar Detectors and Gender

I have been seeing more and more ladies driving with RD lately and was just wondering if that is increasing?

Used to be, I saw mostly guys using RD, but at least in my area, it seems more and more ladies are using them.

I would bet that most of them that we see belong to the husband or boyfriend, and not the woman. Everytime I see a female with an RD, I blast her with Ka to see if she reacts, and I have yet to see one react. This leads me to believe that it's not their RD and not even turned on.

I wish I had a Ka gun. I have to make do with my Bushnell

My girlfriend has been running around with a 9500ix for quite some time now. In my opinion, it's perfect for women, because once everything is locked out, she doesn't have to understand it. When it goes off, it's probably a LEO. She understands enough to know that if she travels to somewhere new, she's probably going to get some false alerts. Pretty easy. She doesn't speed that much, but she totally loves the RLC alerts.

Dads car, dads V1, & probably always powered off. As for the girls with RDs here its a Cobra because they got a speeding ticket, and have many more to come.

Thumbs up Re: Radar Detectors and Gender

Wow a chick w/ a V1. That's interesting. I did see a chick w/ an X50 the other day and this screwed me up. I gave her a little blast of the Bushnell k band radar gun, and at least she was looking around to see where it came from so yes, the X50 was actually on. I was impressed to say the least.

My 60 year math tutor has an X50 and she's even bragged about it a couple times. I offered to hard wire it for her one time. I hate that she leaves it on the windshield during the day because it could get stolen and it get hot in the car.
