Default Rear laser scatter detection possible?

This morning I was driving east on Okeechobee Blvd. and passed a laser speed trap targeting west bound traffic. It looked like the LEO was running LTI Ultralyte. After I passed him, I got a very brief laser alert on the V1 and the arrow pointed behind. It was very fleeting. The alert lasted about a second. The LEO was not in a position to chase east bound traffic so I doubt this was a direct hit. Could it have been scatter?

If it was scatter....damn, I'm impressed.

Maybe your jammer jammed him, and he zapped you in the @ss, just to confirm his gun worked against your car.

I don't think so. The jammer never alerted. It was a six lane divided highway and from the looks of it, he wasn't targeting traffic eastbound. He was shooting west bound traffic in the front as it approached him. He never targeted me from the front as I was driving east.

I never thought of that. Detectors are "supposed" to have 360° laser protection. I suppose that it COULD be possible but I would never count on it.

I don't see why this wouldn't be possible with a v1. The arrow even proves that its possible since it alerted in the right direction.

A scary possibility that just occurred to me was that I could have been hit from behind by a well hidden LEO tagging east bound traffic in the butt.

Maybe I need to upgrade to a LI quad.

It is definetly possible with a V1 and when the LEO is shooting an ultralyte. When I have tested with some other forum members, I always get rear scatter from the ultralytes, but never from any other gun. I guess it is such a powerful gun that it creates more scatter than others.

Forgot to mention - V1 is mounted high as possible on the right side of the rear view mirror. It has a clear view out the back window. I know this because I had an Infiniti behind me once. The rear laser was going bats***.

    My experience :

my car is equipped front and rear , dual Li.

Was going psl <known trap> in left lane on a 2 lanes city street.
A faster car in the right was gaining on me
    at 200 feet behind.

The leo shot this car first .... rear Li alerted from the rebund
    off this car ...
even perhaps jammed the Lti by rebund my rear heads are
slightly slanted toward outside like 10 degrees ...due to my bumper
configuration....no choice since the install is fully integrated.

Then the leo shot my front ....I was then at +- 500 feet ... I shut the li
    immediately.

At first I tought there was 2 leos ...one that I saw and another hidden
shooting my back ....It is only after the fact that I realised the whole thing

The following car was not stopped either.

Since my rear install = never had a true rear attack
