Get the visor mount and get a kill switch from Radioshack. That will help you in VA.

Why would I need a kill switch if its undetectable?

Huh? A Belscort would only have the power light on the Smartcord, for instance, in the Redline manual, courtesy of Escort, Inc.-->If your driving and the LEO is behind you he will and can see the display even if you are running it in dark mode
"When RedLine is in Dark mode, the
display will not show visual alerts and the
alert lamp will not flash when it detects
signals. Only the audible alert tones will
tell you a signal has been detected."
To be sure, I just checked my Redline, the display is completely blank when in Dark Mode.

If the unit you get is not undetectable the kill switch comes in handy, its a pain unplugging it when a LEO is near by.
