Help me decide guys!

Hey everyone!

I am looking to buy a RD again and have pretty much settled on the C65. What are everyone's thoughts on it? I can remember it being the cousin to the Bel rx65 which I owned at one time but was stolen! I've narrowed the search down to the 8500/8500 X50 refurbs from Escort, the C65, the 955/965. I would like to keep it under $200. As much as I would love to buy another V1 (who knows I still may hehe )

What are your thoughts/opinions?

If you are trying to stay around $200 then get the Refurb 8500, but if you want to spend $400 then go for the V1. This is just my opinion.

Refurb 8500 for sure in that price range. It's damn good.

Well I found a c65 for a really good price, under $200. The refurbished 8500 is a great rd but I'm worried about reliability?

The older 8500s (S7 housing) are better off axis and with I/O but are known to be unreliable. The newer 8500s/C65/RX65 (M4 housing) have longer range.

Either way, you get a warranty so I would say go for whatever you think is best.

I would buy C65 for $189,it is same as RX65 ,and come with nice softcase and smartcord.I would buy Brand New RD anyday over Refurb/used RD...

Well I ignored my price range and bought a Redline. I talked with Jeff at Radarbusters and he was awesome to deal with. Can't wait til I get to try it out. Hopefully it lives up to the hype!
