Default I've been out of touch...

Hey guys, I bought my V1 in 2008 and haven't updated it or did anything to it. Honestly, I haven't been impressed on the highway....I don't really seems to get much range. It doesn't do well on hills or any sort of challenges ahead. Is it my V1 or is that natural?

Also, I see that Escort has released a new product called the "redline"...has there been any tests done to compare it to the V1? I've been out of the loop for 1.5-2 yrs or so...just looking for some advice.

I don't know if I could really shell out 500$ for another RD. Maybe I'd have to sell the V1....

If you aren't getting good range with your V1, you may want to send it to VR for a check up ($45).

There have been no unbiased tests done comapring the V1 with the new Escort Redline. However, the Redline should perform similarily to the Escort 9500ci and Bel STi-r since they share the same radar antenna M3. Therefore, the Redline should be more sensitive than the V1.

How is it doing around curves? I'm not impressed with my V1 over my other RDs either when it comes to hilly terrain but I already knew what to expect before purchasing. The Redline will be more sensitive than the V1 but first spend the $45 for a checkup. If you're still not satisfied, the V1 has excellent resale value.

I've had my v1 for several years and started to question it's performance, sent it in for check up with $45 check and received tuned up unit with the uncashed check enclosed.
