Guys, go to Best Buy and purchase a Whistler 1730 for $25. I have one as my backup, and I've actually had to use it a few times when I let friends borrow the X50 for road trips. It falses (like all Whistlers), but it gives great X-range, good K-range, and enough Ka-range to save you if you're going 10-12 over.

    It's a worthwhile investment.

I'm using my 1730 while my RX65 is off with the Guys Of Lidar. Always good to have a backup.

If you've got $150 for a backup, go with a Pro-73 or a Bel Express series detector. I'm just cheap.

Come on now--Its not that bad, just slow down for a change and relax as you drive
I second and third that. I can understand if you had to go on a trip. But around town whats the point?

So, are you going to buy a back up detector?

Bel E795 or Whistler Pro-58 would be my picks for under $100.
