Good Idea To Test Like This???

I just got a RX65 and I was going to use it with my X50 to see which one does the best but that was before I read that they can interfer with each other. How else am I going to find out which one is better?

Tests already confirm that the RX65 is the winner. However it is still lacking the 2K 2KA and 4X display mode :? I have never tried this detector yet, but that may chance soon.

Test with only one turned on at a time...

The differences in performance between these two models are so negligible that you would be hard pressed to see any conclusive differences between these two models. Escort owns Beltronics, so these two models likely share a lot of technology and some internal components.

Sethy the RX65 has won Jim over also. He recently sold his V1 on Ebay in favor of the RX65, aint that right Jim?

Yep, I sold my V1 and used the $ to buy two RX-65s, and point one front and one rear. :wink: :wink: :wink: But I might sell them, I heard that Rocky Mountain Radar has a new unit coming out that is supposed to be da bomb! :wink:

The best way would be to find a stationary radar source (for each band ideally) and compare alert range one at a time, and side by side. the general consensus is that you may get some interference. when i did my V1 vs 8500 tests, i did side by side, and one at a time. i didn't notice any real difference in the results. now one thing though, is that i had x band off on both. this was the one band i could get the 8500 to cause a false x alert on the V1 with them right next to each other.
My suggestion would be to set each one up (features/options) how you like. then do some driving. do some one at a time, and some side by side. if you come across a legit source, turn one off, and do one at a time.

In the end it depends on how "in-depth" you want to go, either way it's your personal test for how you drive, but feel free to share your results.
