I Have tested Veil G4 and have gotten mixed results. Different cars and different applications test differently. Some test very well such as a Ford Escape with a lot of Veil on its headlights and license plate. Others haven't fared as well. Different LIDAR guns against the same car also yield different results.

When I am on the road, I want consistent high level protection. Right now the AL Priority when installed correctly offers better LIDAR protection than Veil and a radar detector. I feel that using Veil along with a good jammer will improve the level of protection on the road.

Some who post here make it seem that it is either Veil or jammers, use only one or the other. What should be said is use both Veil and a jammer, because there will be times when due to your jammer installation or due to local factors that your jammer may need some assistance in protecting you.

Expect comprehensive testing from Raletc this spring.

Can't make it any clearer. BTW, it appears the highest level of protection even with the "mighty" ALPS (which btw, will be going on my vehicle soon. ) is far from 100% of jamming efficiency. It's all there in B&W. Your own results.

The only tests that really matter to me are in the REAL WORLD such as those demonstrated by those videos above and those to surely follow. You can deny every single one to your heart's content, but those that actually HAVE EXPERIENCE with Veil in the real-world know the true score.

BTW, let's conduct a test to show how simple it is to defeat every jammer with certain targeting techniques. You and both know in the hands of a skilled operator, it can be done with impunity. You guys know that. It's been the 800lb gorilla in the room for years. Who are we kidding here. But, I'd rather not go there (at least in a public forum). Unfortunately the cat's been out of the bad, as Radar Rob can attest to. It's just a matter of time, where all active countermeasures will be brought down to earth (in the real-world where the ultimate tests really matter anyway).

You bring up a very salient point...as expected.

WHICH car are we talking about with Veil? That has to be included in the estimation of it's effectiveness.

And that was part of that research that I mentioned.

In my case (2014 black Mustang convertible), I have the "perfect storm" for Veil being of value...low profile, dark color, headlights and the iconic chrome Pony being about the only things that WILL properly reflect laser from the front, pretty much just the tail lights and tag from the rear...yes, I expect the Veil to give me a few seconds to hopefully SEE that LEO before he gets a clear read and have time to drop anchor a bit.

Should I invest in laser jammers as well? Of course, to suggest otherwise would be folly...

...except for the fact that if yet again ANOTHER charge shows up on the credit card without a birthday or Christmas or SOME reason for it...well, let's just say the only reason my wife wouldn't rip my cojone's off is that she would have to sew 'em back on first.

I can just hear her:

"Okay, A.J. Foyt...just why in the name of Be'elzebub do you need LASER JAMMERS for your car? Are you running moonshine...again? Didn't we already talk about that when we had to flee Arkansas to stay ahead of the revenue-er's? The next electronic device you put in that car better be a damn alarm clock, 'cuz yer gonna be SLEEPING in it!"

So yeah...Veil seems about perfect for me.

Now if I can only get the stuff shipped to me (via order placed with Roy)...

(Sorry VG...couldn't resist. I know how hard it is to stay mindful of the goal of draining the swamp when yer up to yer neck in alligators...)
