Before I go on....I believe CHP might have been Q/Ting me but I'm not sure if you can be Quick Triggered while moving?

So almost every night I drive home from work all the way from Milpitas to South San Jose and travel on Interstate 880 to Highway 101 to get home. I'm travelling southbound on 101, bumping some music and traveling a bit over the limit. (Like 5 miles over). Suddenly my radar detector went off displaying a Ka alert, but it was a weak signal and only went off for about a second or two.

Regardless I adjusted my speed and continued on my way. "Huh...Must've been a false alarm" Only to have the same Ka signal go off again, at the same signal strength, for the same amount of time. My Radar detector picked this up a few times along the way until It stopped about 2 exits before I got off mine. I never saw the bogey cause It was dark, But I've never really had a fake Ka band signal.

Sorry to bust your hopes and dreams, but a Cobra cannot detect fast I/O. Even the best unfiltered RDs has trouble detecting that stuff which you will mostly never see in the real world! The lower quality units are not fast enough. It sees a signal, holds it for a too long of a time to determine if it can be another RD, then if ok to alarm, it will alarm. If it is an I/O front hit, the alarm signal will be mostly full scale. Go to "Guys of Lidar" and the "Valentine One" website on the web and study them. I think you had a false or a C/O in front or back of you seeing reflections....
