hahah, i believe you don't worry!
I"m still puzzled about the time when the car was blocking it.....
And...... how much beter is the 975 compared to the 550 on "normal" multanovas?

Now I have to find normal one at 34.3, but I have heard that all in Croatia are at 34.7 and now this insane ones at 34.9! At least you can setup for 34.7, but for this there is no cure!Originally Posted by Dilip
About that wierd setup I don't know, maybe it was other driver stopped in front of it, who knows.... Maybe reflection, but it's not likely...
If 34.9 becomes more popular, i'm sure Bel would make a new radar that would include this band.
but that means spending more money!
[quote="g-zona"]We have found that for optimum detection ranges, the Bel975 antena horn is best mounted horizontally and the Bel966 vertically.Originally Posted by Carlos from Spain
I haven't heard of any new Multanova working on a different frecuency and it wouldn't make sense since they have no need for that R&D. Take a photo we you can so we can check because I don't believe its a Multanova, their only tripod model is the Multanova 6F, si it must be a similar looking radar maybe.
In Australia (and the UK) they have set frequencies that can be used for transmitting. Is this the same for Croatia??
Maybe is is being used illegally!!!
Search the web for approved transmitter frequencies

What is the difference?! Ok I agree mounting the antena horn vertically is beter, cause of verticall polarization of multanova, but that should work for both 975 and 966? If it's not the case theny why not?Originally Posted by Carlos from Spain
As I have said before, will take my digital camera and as soon as I find one again, will post the pictures, but during the chat with the officer he confirmed that it's multanova and that custom freq. On my tech display it was freq. 34.927. Maybe he doesn't now if it's multanova?!Originally Posted by Carlos from Spain
Ok, let's wait untill I make a few photos and then talk further...
It seems the polarisation on the Bel975 is inverted with respect to the Bel966, the explanation I have heard for this is that northamerican radar's polarisation is inverted with respect to european radars, and the Bel975 is made initially for northamerica, while the bel966 is speciofic for europe. I haven't confirmed this personally but its the explanation I have heard, and the fact is that in practice the bel975 works best in general horizontally and the Bel966 inverted to vertical.Originally Posted by g-zona
Ok guys as prommised here is a vid regarding multanova. It was 6F photo system and I have to say very old one, so I think it's sooooo out of tune. It works at 34.918GHz. After reencoding file is 9Mb, I didn't want you to dl 34Mb file...
Detection rage was 150m, BelEuro550 superwide Ka.

wow, that was a good video, you did some really nice editing! very impressive.
That really does look like a multanova, i really don't understand how it can be 34.9 ghz? Unless it has different parts inside, which means its not really a multanova? I dont know........
Carlos?
Thanks. As I have said I went for a talk with cop and have read on the device "Zellweger" and "Multanova 6F". It looked old and so used. It should be at 34.3 but both detectors are silent at that frequency and both of them go off if set to superwide Ka.Originally Posted by Dilip
Realy have no idea how come it can be so out of tune!
