Whats up guys? new guy...

Hi, im new, i drive usually about a 165 mi commute every day round trip to work and back in NY and i do have a CDL Class B with some other endorsements but im ususally cruising at 80-85 in a 65 and lately the troopers are everywhere and ive been caught 2x in the last 2 mos in my personal vehicle (95 honda accord). I used to have a passport 8500x50 red display but it got stolen 2 mos ago... so i ordered a new one and i should get it any day now, but i might upgrade to a V1 v1.8 eventually, we will see. Heres the big thing, the state troopers in ny have been using Laser, usually a stalker unit, so when i had the X50 before it got stolen, i have been hit with it (probably scatter off the car next to me) but i still had time to slow down, but its gettin me thinking about laser jamming and veil coatings etc etc... especially because my new car that should be in in less than a month is a 2006 dark blue civic Si... Do you think it would help to upgrade to a V1 for the laser advantage, i really loved the X50s Ka and k range (nobody uses X in NY) and is it a huge advantage to use a veil coating with a jammer, either a ZR3 or a blinder? Are both of those jammers very effective against a stalker unit? Id rather buy some new equipment then go to court or pay a lawyer (both suck) wanna keep my CDL clean. Sorry for the long post guys

Welcome!! Don't buy a jammer for now, wait until next month GOL test, its going to be the best. There are a few new units that seem to be incredible, so I would wait for them

Laser detection on an RD really doesnt matter to much... maybe with Veil and Lasershield you could get enough time to slow down from the X50/V1... and with the V1 you have a chance on picking up scatter from cars ahead.... BUT... that certainley is not something you should rely on(scatter)... the only true protection LIDAR is a jammer (ZR3/Blinder) as you said.

hmm, sorry for the noob ish question, but whats lasershield anyway? Do you guys know whats works well against the stalker unit as far as jamming?

NY troopers all use the LTI Ultralyte and Stalker KA-dual antennas

I would recommend a Blinder or Lidatek LE30 dual laser jammer if you need a jammer now and VEIL stealth coating and a Laser Shield if=s something that is useful to get now and keep

We have other units than those two mentioned. (both radar and laser) It all depends (on the tway) what zone you work out of.

im usually on the I-90 coming from the lackawanna toll area all the way to the rochester I-390 exit (exit 26? I think?) what do you guys use in there fucco?
