Default KUSTOM RADAR down the Tubes!

I just got a telephone call that Kustom radar is in deep financial trouble.

The company was just taken over by the Bank of Scotland, they fired five of the top managers, and ALL new projects are on hold.

This includes the development of the Ku radar gun for the USA and the new pro laser gun that have over 400 orders.

There are a couple other laser companies that are trying to buy Kustoms laser division.

Dam, this can open the door to new developments and changes. Otherwise great to hear a radar gun manufacture going under.

RD's not illegal in Scotland yet but they are going to make them illegal soon, as well as laser jammers. (Same laws as England on Road Safety.) It's typical - They still have lots of hand held radar there - the further north you go the worse it gets for radar (but it's obviously NOT for raising money! )

If anybody wants a thank you petition delivered to the Bank of Scotland Head Office in Edinburgh, I'm sure it can be arranged.

The Bank of Scotland probably just bought the company to get the guns at lower than trade costs for Gordon Brown - to raise even more money for the govt!!!!!!!!!

Better get an STi if they're going to make RDs illegal. Roy can fix you up with one. If you check out thenewspaper.com you will see how motorists in the UK are getting their wallets raped on a daily basis. I don't see how they put up with it. I don't think a lot of that B. S. would fly here.

So is Kustom a foreign owned company to begin with, or were they just bought up by a foreign bank? I am surprised, but very happy, to see that!

Now if the same thing would only happen to MPH Industries and their overhyped POP radar!

The rumors would still go on.

What I wonder is... if they have 400 units on backorder and are in financial trouble... if they declaire they are bankrupt... will the texpayers (who paid for all the units) basically just have wasted their money... I guess its better then having more radar/lidar guns out... but still a large sum of money wasted... not overall but I would love for that to pad my pockets.
