GRE 500 Scanner - Pro-97 too?

Alrighty, after much reading on the new GRE 500 scanner, I ordered one today. I'm number 19 on the list. :-) so he said I'd definitely get mine in the 1st shipment.

Here's the deal, I have to wait about 6 weeks to get it. And I learned today that the Pro-97 is on sale for $149.99.

Is that cheap enough to go get one to play with in the mean time? I don't know what Radio Shack's return policy is but I imagine I could return it if I don't like it that much.

I'm excited about the GRE 500 - it's definitely over kill, but it will be fun.

go in and haggle with the salespeople. we're authorized to give a 10% discount on stuff like that. those scanners have retarded high markup. so high i dont even want to buy one on my employee discount as its still too high.
