    I was thinking about getting a BC246T...

It is only advertised on the following frequencies:

    • 25-54 MHz
    • 108-174 MHz
    • 216-225 MHz
    • 400-512 MHz
    • 806-956 MHz
    • 1240-1300 MHz

It does not look like it will work, or am I wrong?

    EDIT:

Nevermind, I just read that it will support rebanding! Went ahead and ordered one.

I hightly recomment the GRE line of scanners. I found the GRE scanners to have much better audio and a lot easier to use.
GRE America, Inc. - grecom scanner receiver, lcd modules, spread spectrum radio, wireless bridge, scanner antenna, scanner pre-amps.

I have both the handheld and the mobile version.

There is also some great software that lets you control and listen your scanner over the internet, this is very cool.
Win500: PSR-500 and PSR-600 Scanner Software for Data Management, Monitoring, and Control
