which antenna would be best

Im debating between a Firestik II FS2-B 2' mounted where the red is
or a Firestik II FS3-B 3' where the blue is.




Which one would give the best reception.

This must be for a CB? If so I would go where the antenna can be mounted at the highest point.

Yep. Higher is better for any antenna.

best reception is highest you can get line of sight from, but at those antenna lengths you might not hear very far.
tx is a different story though.

Back in the day the K-40 was a great CB antenna. I don't know if they are still being made but I had one on a magnet mount and it performed well.

That was a great performing CB antenna even with the car cover cutout between the magnet and paint finish
