    Default 10m Vehicle Install

Somebody posted some pictures a few months ago of their 10 meter HAM radio installed in their vehicle. It looked like a remote management faceplate because it wasn't very deep...Anyway, I will be shopping in the next couple months and really liked the look/install of it and was hoping for some insight. I did several searched but apparently the keywords "10 meter","HAM", and "Install" aren't very specific. =P

Can't help you with what you are asking but I can reccomend some mobile antenna set ups for 10M. Are you looking for a single band 10M or a tri or quad bander?

Hmmm... I don't recall that. The only remote-mount 10m radios I am aware of are full spectrum HF Ham radios, covering 6m to 160m. Very expensive and very complicated.

You may be thinking of a 2m radio, which will not operate anywhere near the 11m CB band.

Oh I'm sorry I thought you were asking about an antenna set up for 10m I was tired when I read your post. What your interested in is a mobile rig that you can mount the radio somewhere in the car and have the head in the front somewhere correct? If so, Yaesu makes some of the best quality radios and all of their radios have this option. Check out yaesu dot comWelcome to Yaesu.com[/url]

I'd say if you really want to mess around with 10m for a decent price you can try out the FT8900R. Its a Quad bander it does 2m.440.6m and 10m

Get a HAM radio and mod it if needed.

I've got an Icom 706MKIIG, i use it for CB, and everything else a sort of all in one.

Found this over on an f150 forum
