    Default CB for the Vette.

OK I know Stealth will be happy, I'm finally getting a radio for the Vette.

Here's what I decided on the antenna, I know Stealth will not approve, but no holes required.

Corvette CB NGP Antenna System, With Quick Disconnect, 2005-2009

    Hope it will work OK.

Nothing wrong with that antenna. Probably the best performing of the options you have. The only problem I have with it is that it's a little goofy looking. The glass mount antenna looks a lot better on a Vette, but it doesn't perform nearly as well as a grounded antenna.

The Cobra 75 is a good bet for the Vette, unless you're looking for more performance, or a simpler installation.

I was thinking about a 10 meter radio and of course mod'ing it to use on CB.

I don't plan on running it except on trips so i won't be goofy looking all the time.

The CB should be very helpful to you on trips. Just learn the CB lingo, and go. And give many bear reports and let the truck drivers know if the chicken coops (weigh stations/scales) are either open or closed.

Yes it was a bit much, but I did not want to take a chance on anything that might scratch the Vette.
