I just ordered a BCT15 which is made for a DIN slot. From what I've read it has a kit that allows it to slide in one.

    There may be some others...

BCT-15 and BCD-996T both come with a DIN sleeve included. I believe they are the only DIN scanners made.

I currently use a BCT15 and soon to upgrade to the BCD-996T
they use Dynamic memories instead of 50Chan/Bank it can store about 2000+Chan . also my BCT15 Have Tone Decode , cuts all the data/Noise

Scanner is a good addon to your car. I hope you enjoy Your as much as I enjoy Mine

But anyone who want one for there car should seriously consider the BCT15

(BTW Easy to program on your PC with the free BCTool Software)

Let us know how it turns out! I was going to get that one until I was offered a BCT15.

so far it is decent. i like the auto scan and lockout. it is a big upgrade from my past device. also, i like the interface.

programming this is a pain in the @$$ tho.

on that note, i an unsure on programming "trunked frequencies" i have a page Scanner Frequencies: * StarCom21 Statewide Illinois P25 Trunking System, Statewide, Illinois

i am unsure of what exactly all of this means. can anyone give me some info on this stuff??

From the Scanner FAQ item #4:

If anywhere in the description of that agency’s system you see the terms “digital”, “APCO 25”, or “P-25”, then you will need a digital scanner.
You cannot monitor that with your scanner.
