    Default ? about CB Speakers

I am replacing my CB radio with a Undien 520 + L. Wil Antenna, is the speaker inside the CB pretty decent. I have a little speaker that came with my STi I was thinking about using it instead.

If the stock speaker is not decent is there any other out there that you guys recommend ? My old setup had horrible sound quality, would like to get it right this time.

See if the one with the STI will work with your CB, if not go to the CB store and ask them of a speaker that will work with your particular CB radio, tell them what CB you got and they will give you the proper speaker for the CB, couple of examples of speakers:

For use in cars, the stock speaker is good enough in most cases. In a Semi with all the noise an external speaker is a must. Try it with the stock speaker first would be my advice.

Mini Extension Speaker for Transceiver - RadioShack.com

LOUD C-l-e-a-r and tiny; and as most stores want them off shelves because they're not selling enough two way radios, you can usually find them on clearance, or listed at the link above. And they're definitely optimized for voice.

I've got a few of them and use audio location to help me separate the CB scanners and HAM radios.

If you're at all worried about sound quality you'll want an external speaker. The internal speakers on those little Unidens are... serviceable, but not enjoyable to listen to and I had to really focus to make out what I was hearing unless the other party was coming in strong.

Personally I vote for the Uniden ESP-5, available at your clean, friendly local truck stop. Really all of those mini speakers should be pretty equal.

This is the cheapest place to get a 5-watt external speaker. I don't know how much they are at Truck stops, but this is definitely cheaper than Radioshack.

I really wonder how small shops are going to survive with the prices Walmart has.

All made in the yellow land, those people work for 30c/hr, but when it comes down to quality, God saves us all !!!
