I think the rear shots will get more prevalent as time goes on, so I am just being proactive about things is all........:)
As for rear shots on the RD it wouldn't pick up as well as the front any...

I too was going to get the 9500ix but it's not RDD immune. No I don't NEED RDD immunity, but if our laws change like they're changing in Australia, then I'd be hooped.

I have a 9500IX RD and it really helps with the red/speed camera's, and the M47 helps with the laser guns as well........:)

Yes you will learn lots from the knowledgeable...

You could still pick up scatter from cars in front of you, (that should set your RD off) from around the corner as well, that is assuming there is others in front that is.......:)
