Ummm, massive fine and possible jail/prison time? The jammer would be out of here. It isn't worth the risk.
That's exactly what we were trying to say... Glad we could help.
I know plenty of people that don't have a RD at all, haven't spent a penny for these toys we own, drive like lunatics, don't have any tickets... How much does that make you laugh?
I know people...
I forget where I heard this, but they say that those automatic door openers that use radio motion sensors cause cancer, affect sex drive, and have been linked to autism.
I fully understand what thestaton is getting at... I have been driven crazy by the highway drones here in CA. They go off so often that I am finding myself tuning out the RD and it just...
Well I was surfing around the net and stumbled upon some LEO's talking about LIDAR and it's use in my area. Some less than knowledgeable people started mouthing off about jammers.
One LEO flat...
Well this is a pretty old thread... But I can tell you from my own experiences there in CO that there is a lot of mis-information that has been spread around when this law went into affect.
I...
It is too bad that states haven't opted to actually do something with the SWS. They are putting these big lighted signs on many interstates that give weather updates, amber alerts, road warnings,...
What they will probably do is handle a malfunctioning transponder or one that not working by defaulting to an at the pump tax that is far higher than the normal tax you would pay. Sort of like a...
They already have limited tests going on in the NW where they are lowjacking the car and have special transponders that transfer the data to the gas pumps when you fuel up so that they can tax you...
So looking at this last round of GOL tests seemed to show really bad performance on 33.8 ghz for both the STi, and the RX65. I went back to the previous test and it also showed poor performance. If...
After reading the GOL results the STI looks really bad on this frequency... So bad that I can hardly believe it from a top detector.
If Bel wants to sell STI's they must get this fixed. I would...
Depending on how judiciously the LEO is with using his instant on you will probably not get any warning. Your best shot is a rabbit, and a certain amount of luck that you might pickup a blip.
...
You see all of these folks make their living off of the information and services that they sell. Radar Roy, GOL, or anyone else doing testing, or offering information that possibly impacts their...
Sorry I am late to post on this, but once again want to thank the GOL for doing the testing. Each one of these continues to build upon the data points we have available about specific versions,...
Make sure that you power cycle your RD if you leave it on like that. I have seen over many models, that the performance becomes suspect. A clean power cycle is needed.
Yes, your going to get a ticket in most states...
Let's put the shoe on the other foot... I am the @ssclown flying down the road at 100+ mph while your with your family out on this lovely Easter...
3.825 is notorious for multiple bogey counts. 3.826 cleaned up most of that, but still not perfect. I haven't tried either of the latest builds to verify if they have corrected the problem fully.
I hear ya on the poor quality of the Whistler's... My experience was from many years back and my Whistler did it's job and saved my bacon, but like you said very chatty, short detection range... I...
I'm on the same wavelength as Noshoes. I want water resistant, don't want the hassle of mounting, and dismounting, and a clean integrated design.
I wish Valentine or Belscort made a top RD for...
Good point Dave, seems to me like I remember something about a menu or something in the 1.8 for POP... I could be remembering wrong. Maybe I need to be looking for a 1.7 V1 if I decide to give this...
I like your thinking on this Happy. I have often wondered why I let myself get wrapped up in this pop thing. Ever since they started messing with POP the bogey counter became unreliable, arrows...
Rob,
Thanks for the feedback. Sadly I have been riding for too many years and already know that I am too lazy to mess with the mount and dismount unless I am on a trip.
I know this because I...
I just read the ActiveStealth info and the GPS mirror from Cheetah. Sounds very promising.
Will we be seeing some reviews from GOL in the future for these products? This sounds very much like...
