The grille bars are thin - like 3/8 inch and I don't trust them to be sturdy. The jammer heads are also 1mm too wide to realistically fit between them. The bars "bend" so I have placed the heads in between the slats before just to see what it would look like, but I am certain eventually the bars would break from the constant bending.

So, I am left with only the horizontal base behind the grille where the heads are sitting now (see grille pic - last one in first post in this thread). I could stand the heads on end but I have nothing to secure them to at the top. I thought of (and purchased) two small "L" brackets and screws for the bottom ends of the heads and I could drill two small holes in the surface behind the grille. That end would be secure. The top would be floating in space.

And either way, the heads are still behind the grille. From a dead on front shot, fine, but from any angle the bars will impede no matter what I do.

When I get home I will try to get some pics of the area to show what I mean. I can't fathom how it will work without drilling or cutting.
Fair enough, I wasn't aware that the grill slits weren't wide enough to fit the grill. Also, ABS black plastic sheets can be purchased from fleabay. The sheets that I use are 3mm or so thick. They can also be purchased in a thicker or thinner size.
