I know the heads are kinda behind, but can't really mount them flush since my bumper is slanted or not flat. At least, I made them straight with respect to each other.
If I pull them out a bit, at least a quarter of the head is exposed.

Haven't any of you had any problems with the molding tape and moisture?
Since it was raining today, I noticed that the tape slight peels off...

Looks good, I like the "toe out" configuration on the heads.

I asked you last spring but I forgot your answer. Why didn't you place them in the grill?

the grill is actually not deep enough. It only has like 1/2 inch in depth, unless I cut it out. Also, the grill is as flimsy as jelly.

It was a pain getting it straight, I had to get under the bumper and draw lines with a ruler and marker...

Oh yeah, that's right those things are thin.

The extra time will be worth it come testing time.

nah, I just put my plate back on again, tired of being pull over for no reason...
I'm trying to order a plastic plate but I'm hesitant since the new Tx plates are different.

I had problems the first time I used the molding tape after I washed my car. This was because after I put the tape on I used force to twist and adjust my heads, is this what you did? I took the tape off and applied new molding tape being cautious to get it perfectly right when I put it on and it's been perfect through rains and my car washes.

Speed-demon, if you haven't already seen Leederek's first round of results in the 2nd CT Laser day thread, check them out. His LPP heads were mounted in the same position on his car and recessed about as much as yours. Center mass and headlight PTs were easily obtainable. I would move those heads out flush with the bumper. Just my .02. Thread link below.

^ +1. I'd go flush, too.

As for the 3M Automotive Molding/Trim tape, if you've taken care to prep the area and the heads properly, you don't have to worry about weathering concerns.

I measured that the heads are recessed only by 1/2" I guess it's not a big deal...
As for LeeDereck, his heads were to low and not level...
