He is using the visor clip to mount his 8500 X50, and obviously chose to mount it on the passenger visor so that he can use his driver's visor. That is a slick idea of attaching his GPS unit underneath the RD.

thats actually a nokia n95 phone used as video camera. attached with velctro strip.

That makes sense. I would just stuff the clip under the headliner and have it a bit more stealthy/high and closer to me.

It's still going to be blocking the use of your sunvisor there, whether it is clipped to the visor or not.

Besides, it's a Hell of a lot easier to glance right at your RD than to cock your head back to look up at it. Been there. Done that. Learned my lesson quickly.

eh, passenger can go blind from the sun lol. visor always stays up.
when my detector goes off, i can usually tell if its false alarm. either way, i slow down to the sound. i dont always look at it.
