I think that's a hella long antenna, lol. What do you listen to, and on what frequency band?

How is the scanner mounted? What's holding it up?

I think I'd go higher with the RD. The higher the better, both for performance and concealability. But it looks good! What did you hardwire it to? A ciggy plug, a spliced wire, an add-a-circuit, or what?

You're in Oz, right? How high is the laser risk there?

i listen to Marlborough portable (blenheim police shared with Christchurch police and fire service) not sure what band it is but it says 485.325 i have put it up higher it sits above the RVM but i don't like it because it can't see the display that sucks because i get false alerts on ka ban with other peoples cheap ass radar detectors so i need to see it. Nope im in New Zealand i have only encounted laser once but not with this detector it was with the Whistler R30 my Old detector and by the time we detected it it was too late. i took my car to the auto sparky he was going to charge me 40 dollars for the add a circuit i was like stuff that so i just soled it on to my red ignition wire and of course the black ground wire to a bolt on my car frame. i got the long antenna because the short antenna broke and if i wanted the short one i would of had to order it from uniden and wait the long antenna was inside and ready to buy better coverage too i was like yep this is me
