    Default Blinder,Sti-r,Zr3,V1 install - BMW E90

Aright, here is my current install. I know I am going to get bashed for having two of the M45 heads behind my grille, but I still get the performance I need and I didn't want to have so many heads sticking out on the front of my grille. For whoever has an E90, the extra Zr3s are kinda overkill, you would probably be just fine with three blinder heads, one below each headlight, one center mast and one rear.

The sti-r antenna is on the bottom grille, had to cut some of the grille out for placement.

I'm impressed. I like the CB especially.

That GPS say a top speed of 147mph?

Having never driven or rode in a BMW, who the f**k designed that MPG widget? That scale is the most f**cked up thing I have ever seen. Having to stare or look at anything near that atrocious thing would drive me insane.

Have ever tested your setup against a laser gun? Have a feeling you have enough exposed heads to be covered. But 2 of them being behind the grill, is kind of concerning. Also do you have Veil on the lights that would help. Overall looks like a nice install.

Everything looks great, except for those two heads. It wouldn't be too hard to move those two heads to be placed vertically between the grill and would improve performance a lot.

Okay, it's extremely difficult to see anything in those photos, but on second glance, I think I see the exposed Blinder heads, just below the hood lip. And are those the ZR4s down by the fog lights?

With that, I can see getting good performance. I thought you meant the entire Blinder was behind the grille. It's not really clear by either your post or your photos what is where.

My camera is broken, had to take the pictures with my iphone, quality significantly downgraded. One m45 head below each headlight, two zr3s exposed on grille, other 2 m45 heads behind grille. When I get some time I am going to expose the other two m45 heads on the grille, it is just not a priority. I am going to get my setup tested friday with a truspeed, PL3 and Ultralyte, will post results, but in real world run-ins with laser I have jammed without any trouble.

    Yes, Veil on headlights.

I would put the two Blinder heads that are behind the grill where the ZR3 heads are, move the ZR3 heads vertically in the grill.

"Below each headlight" is a little misleading, lol. More like below the bumper! I think just switching the ZR heads with the two recessed Blinder heads would give you optimum performance. Maybe move the ZRs to the rear, which is a much harder target to protect than the front.

Looking forward to seeing your results!

    EDIT: Dammit, Zapple!
