    Default QI45 installed on a 4runner

I have installed the QI45 on a 05 4runner and have been running it for two weeks now so here are what I think about the performance of the Detector against the V1 in NJ so all bands are on.

    1. The detector performs well against real threat I had several X band encounters and both gave me over a mile of warning. The Leo had a customer and the others were just running co.
    2. QI45 performs very well against K band I had two hits of constant K the first was 1.8 mile and the second was 1.6 mile.
    3. KA band was not verified I did get a couple of short burst of moving IO Ka but could not verified the distance and the location of the trooper. it happened at night and the V1 was off so couldn't tell if it was front or back.

Now I think that escort has to do better with the filters, local driving is a headache but I just deal with it. V1 is not much better so I like to just run with the QI in town.

Now overall I think the detector offers good protection and has given me good range on verified Leo. I had both detectors on most of the time and for some reason the V1 and the QI are very close in performance with the V1 edging it a bit. I know some people will say that the V1 will kill it but I can only tell you what I have seen. KA I think V1 will destroy it but did not see much ka in the last two weeks. I will keep on testing it when I get more details I will let you guys know.

It is a 8500 X50 not on the dash... I am expecting nearly identical performance from it...

So it won't be a slouch by any means... but nothing to "write home about"... keep us updated, but I am guessing the V1 (if properly mounted) will edge it out in many (or even most) cases.

PS: I would move either the V1 or NYS "EZ-Pass" to the other side of the mirror... seems like it may be in the way of the V1 just a bit... I know I wouldn't run my V1 like that.

I can see why you think the EZpass in the way but I will try and take a picture that will show the clear view of the V1 there is nothing in the way even though it looks that way on the picture.

No its fine... I believe you, as I am sure you wouldn't want anything that compromises its detecting...

Just keep this in mind I know the qi45's antenna is prob in the grill area right, still slight slight chance of interference with the v1, and the stir and ci have a shielded antenna.

As for quiet around town, a better investment is a cheetah product and the V1, really don't need the qi45. You get camera database and ablet o quiet down the V1.

The only reason for QI45 is so when i go to high theft area in NJ i don't have to worry about losing the V1 I just use the V1 in Highways and use the QI45 for local driving. Since the local here like to run X, K , KA so you never know!!!
